Our Team

“Creating and making patriotic files and products is not work when you love this Country and love what you do.”

– Mike Marshall

  • Taylor’s passion has led him to continue to pursue CNC design after graduating and now specializes in customized wall décor, signs, badges, and flags. His goal is to provide high quality designs while promoting love of God and country through his products. He is a father, husband, physical therapist, and veteran of the US Army National Guard.

  • As a woodworker, CNC was supposed to make things easier … a lot of firewood later determined that wasn’t the case, initially. Making wooden signs and flags for extra income led to making custom designs for others to make products with their CNC, then eventually designs for Glowforge and Cricut users. A great customer base continues the drive to create more designs. Mike is a United States Marine Corps veteran, former police officer, has owned/operated his DJ Service for the last 14 years, as well as owns/operates his CNC and Woodworking business.

  • Drew was born and raised in Charleston, SC and grew up as the grandson to a master carver on one side, and a retired Navy veteran on another. Art, design, and patriotism has been in his blood for his whole life, but it wasn’t until later in life when he began to channel these passions in to one location ~ American South Designs. As a designer and woodworker, it only made sense to dive in to the world of CNC. He loves creating designs for others to create their own pieces of art. His other passions include his wife and kids. They enjoy camping and spending time in nature together. Thank you for supporting American South Designs LLC and supporting a small town business. Much Love!

  • Nick started on the computer at an early age playing video games and still does when he has time. He had taken his first woodworking and Computer Aided Design(CAD)class his junior year when he found out he could make a living doing designing or architecture. This translated into him going to college for mechanical design. He spent the next 8 years after college doing CAD for a living. It wasn't until he bought his first CNC machine in 2020, that he started applying his knowledge of designing and CAD into the CNC woodworking world. His attention to detail on the svg files he creates is that of a professional draftsmen. His products are all hand drawn line for line, and very rarely is a file converter used. He is a father, husband, and a Graphic Designer. Steimel Originals looks forward to tackling every customer need and thanks you for your business!
